About
I have been raised in a farm, and it has been downright awesome. My parents spent most of their life together caring for our chickens and other livestock. And I have come to share their passion and enthusiasm in farming adventures that I am hoping to further share with the rest of the like-minded people out there. I am not a big writer myself, but for the sake of sharing my firsthand knowledge with the rest of the world, I am here opening up this blog before you interested readers.
I want to share how you can keep your flocks safe from unwanted predators, how to strengthen their immune system, how to keep them healthy all the way with the right antibiotics and commercial medications, and other fundamentals in the farming domain. I am particularly into the natural ways of raising animals.
Currently, I have over 28 hens, 16 rabbits, 14 goats, and 24 ducks. I collect chicken eggs regularly, and I am more than proud to grow my own food. I also have a garden and plant peas, tomatoes, red bell peppers, and Brussels sprouts. I am living in the middle of the city, yet I continually strive to keep the rural vibe and enjoy every bit of greenery and organic forms I have around.
I enjoy what I do, and the thought of giving other folks out there tips on how to go about the things I love is more than a privilege to me. I hope that with this little, humble blog of mine, I can get to inspire other folks out there to get their little farming endeavors started (if they still haven’t) or keep going with what they already have on hand.
Here at Basford Farms, you can get your needed farming knowhow to get you right on track.
